BFD!!!!!
ok, so Jenna and I went to BFD today. We woke up, went to Safeway, got food, and drove over to Shoreline. I splurged because I knew I wouldn't want to walk far after the concerts, so I spent $20 on premier parking. We got in and the first thing we did was drop our crap off where we were going to sit. Then we headed over to the Festival Stage where we were able to catch the last part of the OKGO's performance. These guys were actually pretty good. They made a joke about how the "M" in MTV used to stand for music... and then they performed their Music Video for their last song. It was freaking awesome!

Then Hard-Fi, a band from England that neither of us had heard of came on. They were fucking fantastic! actually the fucking fantastic was what the lead singer called BFD. They were amazing. The next group to come onstage was The Sounds, and they were okay, a little too heavy for my tastes, so we decided that then would be a good time to get James a Panic! at the Disco shirt.

We headed over to the other side of Shoreline and found out that Hard-Fi was signing autographs. Since we had seen them and liked them, Jenna and I decided to get some. I got a poster signed, and the guitarist, Kai, mistook me for a fan he had met in the UK, which actually turned out to be a funny conversation. I took a picture with them and Jenna got them to sign different body parts. They were really nice guys and we were actually the last ones to get autographs, so we think they'll remember us.

We wandered around for a while after that, and then decided to check out the local stage. A band called Birdmonster was on, and while they were okay, they didn't hold either of our interests. We went back to the Festival Stage, and found She Wants Revenge playing, and they were pretty good.

Then Panic! at the Disco came on. They were amazing! I wasn't expecting a good stage presence, but it was awesome. We're definately going to have to go to another one of their concerts. What I found interesting is that the lead singer is 19, just like me. As Jenna said, "He's a rock star but not allowed to drink, that sucks!"

While Panic! was playing, Jenna and I managed to get front row center for Yellowcard, which was amazing. These idiots moshed us while Panic! was playing, but we were still like five feet from the stage.

Then Yellowcard came on, and I got some amazing pictures. Seriously, we were so close that I could make out their eye-colors. It was amazing, they were really fun t watch as well. Great stage presence, just like Panic!

We had to leave early, because we wanted to get in line for autographs. We stood there, in line, for three hours. I was kinda pissed because we ended up missing the signings for Panic! at the Disco, Yellowcard, and the band I came to see, H.I.M. However I was able to get a shot of Ville's head from outside the signing booth.

So I was not in the most chipper of moods when we finally got to the front and found out Franz Ferdinand was signing autographs. I haven't really heard any of Franz Ferdinand's music, but they're awesome guys, from England as well. One of them asked why I was in a gloomy mood, so I told of our plight, and how I was tired and sunburned. They were aghast, giving us props for staying in line, and promising to give a shout out to us when they got up and performed on the Main Stage. The keyboardist, Nick McCarthy, even kissed me on the cheek. That made my day a little brighter.

Finally it was time for H.I.M. to play. Jenna and I were up on the lawn, which was filled with more people thn a huge cemetary. We literally had the hardest time walking over ot where our stuff was. But then H.I.M. came on and my mind focused on one thing, the band. I didn't get very good shots, because we were so fucking far away, but it was orgasmic. I just wish I had been able to meet the band.
